Solivance Homes is the manifestation of a vision I’ve held for many years – to build luxury homes. Having been in the building business since 1999, I feel that now is the time to launch my company, Solivance Homes. My mission is to build modern/contemporary designs with a focus on open floor plans, abundant views, and thoughtful exterior living spaces. Our name, Solivance, is more than just a name, it captures the warmth of the sun (“Sol”) and the energy of moving forward (“Vance”), evoking a sense of luxury, strength, and timeless elegance, reflecting our commitment to creating beautiful, lasting homes.

Since 1999 in the luxury home building business.
Culinary taught me that it is essential to give my attention to detail and consistency – key to the luxury home building industry.
Over 38 plus years, I’ve held various positions that provided a basis for my luxury home building business. A major career was in the hospitality business when I attended Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Houston in the early 90’s. I placed out of the final two quarters as I was already a working chef. I worked my way up and finished my career with the Wyndham Warwick Hotel in Houston. Culinary taught me that it is essential to give my attention to detail and consistency, key to the luxury home building industry. After almost 12 years in the culinary business, the 60-80 hour work weeks proved exhausting. As a result, I decided it would be best to make a career change.
A very important influence in my life was my grandfather, Bud Brandt. He was always building or remodeling something. His influence was my determination to pursue the home building and remodeling field as a career. My finacee´, Joyce Jolley, and I moved to Michigan in 1998 where we married and I started a construction and remodeling company in 1999. New Beginnings Construction and Remodeling was a successful company as the Michigan economy had a good run from 2000-2005. We decided to close the company and move back to Houston in 2005 after the market collapsed.
New Beginnings was presented with a Dollar Certificate by the Marshall Chamber Ambassador. See article at bottom of page.
Bud Brandt, my grandfather, was a great influence for my determination to pursue the home building and remodeling field as a career.
From 2005-2025 I was the Project Builder completing many high-end custom homes ranging from 7,000 to 30,000 square feet within budget.
In Houston, I became a Superintendent with Marsh Group from 2005-2007. I oversaw the building of luxury homes until the owner retired in 2007. That’s when I had the good fortune to become a Senior Builder with Jauregui Architect. I had a good run during my 18 years with Jauregui, completing 22 high-end custom homes ranging from 7,000 to 30,000 square feet in a timely manner, within budget and no punch lists. The awards these homes brought to the company are too numerous to list. I carried my passion from beginning to completion and the result is evident with the many clients who have written testimonials.
In 2015, I won Houston’s GBHA Best Prism Award for Construction Superintendent of the Year. In 2025, I founded Solivance Homes. During my tenure with Jauregui, I became a GMB (Graduate Master Builder) with the National Association of Home Builders and attend continuing education courses annually.
Joyce and I (married in 1999), along with our Goldendoodle, Piper, enjoy the home I built in Spicewood, Texas. Joyce is employed with the Lake Travis ISD as a Fine Art Assistant. We’re proud to say that our oldest son, Ashton, is currently serving in the Air Force and Brandt, our youngest, is working in commercial refrigeration in Houston. We enjoy Pickleball on the weekends and I enjoy saltwater fishing when we can get to the Gulf Coast.
We look forward to working with you, the happy homeowner, who has made the decision to –
